Spreading meme love <3

Got it from both [personal profile] genuinelie and [personal profile] popkin16 XD

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

1. What appeals to you most about One Piece?
Agh, that's a hard one. I love pretty much everything; the artist style, the plot, the characters. I think I'm gonna have to say that I love the characters the best :D They're all so awesome, and amazing to watch XD Love their personalities and the interaction between everyone ;)

2. Where do you hope to be when you graduate - what type of job, where do you want to live?
When I graduate, I hope I'll have a high-paying job working with computers (though I don't know exactly what kind of job yet, which is why I'm still narrowing down my options in college) and it doesn't really matter to me where I live. I don't wanna be in a desert, or somewhere exceedingly cold, but overall it doesn't really matter :)

3. What are your favorite movies?
I love fantasy, and adored the Lord of the Rings movies (and books), I love action, sci-fi, comedy. My most recent favorite movies include Fifth Element, True Lies, 13 Going on 30, Rain Man, Rattatouille, can't really think of others right now XD Oh! All-time-fave: Monty Python and the Holy Grail =P

4. How did you discover yaoi? (and why do you like it?)
Well, I started watching Naruto, and I don't remember exactly how I found yaoi, but I think I wanted to know more about Kakashi, and looked him up and he kept getting paired with Iruka, so I read a few stories on them. I do remember that my first two stories were [personal profile] erisabesu's fic, Everyone's Got Secrets, and [Bad username: guaro_of_jupiter]'s fic, The Beginning. They will forever be two of my faves, and I love them so much <3 From there, I just looked for all KakaIru I could find, and devoured it XD Then I moved to SasuNaru, GaaLee, and so on and so forth :)
I love yaoi because, well, I don't know really. It's unbelievably hot to have two guys together, and when you get into relationship dynamics and everything else, I just fell in love with it ;) It's some of my favorite stuff to read. It's kinda hard to explain, but I just love it :D

5. What are your favorite books?
Oh, geez XD I read pretty much constantly, and some of my current favorite books are anything written by co-authors Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, starting with their book 'Relic'. Then I love Tad Williams, and his stories like the 'Otherworld' series, and 'The Dragonbone Chair'. One of my favorite authors is David Eddings, and his series, 'The Belgariad' *happy dance* I've read that series so many times! The characters are the kind that you fall in love with, and want to read more so you're sad when it ends, because you can't read about them anymore. The plot is awesome, and the twists and turns are amazing :D
So, basically, I love fantasy books, sci-fi (Anne McCaffrey's 'Damia' - awesomeness) suspense, thriller, murder-mystery, etc. ('Relic') :D

1. Are you studying in college, or are you working? What are you studying/working at?
I'm kinda doing a little bit of both :D I'm working right now, because it's summer, and I work at a campground in my town. I live in a tourist town, so we get loads of campers every summer, and our population practically triples just for these three months. They can be a right pain in the ass, but they bring in income, so I suppose it balances out ;)
I'm studying something along the lines of computer science, but I haven't really decided what yet, so I don't have a specific major.

2. Is Naruto and One Piece your only fandoms? It's the only two I know you're in.
No, actually. I love them both, and OP is my current active fandom, and these two are the only one's I've written for so far. I also love House M.D., and the House/Wilson pair; Stargate SG-1, pairings of JackxSam and DanielxVala; Stargate: Atlantis with the McShep pairing (McKay/Sheppard); Harry Potter, with DracoxHarry, RonxPansy, SnapexHermione, and NevillexLuna; FMA with RoyxEd; and Prince of Tennis with MomoRyo, TezuFuji, EijiOishi, and InuiKai. I also love reading stuff from Avatar:TLA, but I haven't really found a pairing I love there yet, so I've been reading gen stuff XD

3. If you could have one wish granted, what would you wish for?
I would wish that chocolate didn't make you fat :) I'm a chocoholic, and if I could eat it without the consequences it would bring, that would rock so hard XD

4. What's one of your pet peeves? One of mine is I don't like it when people chew on their clothes. I get the
goosebumps.

People who don't read signs, or just stupid people in general. When they don't pay attention to what's going on around them, and do things they clearly aren't supposed to be doing, it just pisses me off. (Okay, that was kinda confusing, so here's an example: at my campground, there are signs up telling you which lane to pull in-to. You only go into the left lane if you have a key-card and can get into the campground. You pull into the right lane if you need to get out of your car and enter the front office. People constantly pull into the left lane, realize they have no way to open the gate, park there, get out and come up to the office, stopping all traffic coming into the campground, and then get hemmed in by incoming campers. It just drives me crazy, because there are three signs leading up to the gates telling you which lane you should be in.) Wow, am I long-winded or what ;)

5. As a child, what non-horror movies were you afraid of? I was terrified of the Little Mermaid (Ursula freaked me out). I used to cry and hide behind the couch. >.>
None that come to mind, actually. My best friend was scared of Puff the Magic Dragon, though :)

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
hmmm, if you didn't mind, I'm going to quotes something that made me first lay my eyes on you, I don't know are you still remember about this one, though:

By standing almost on his tip-toes, Zoro was able to reach up and grab a bottle of wine from the top rack. By keeping it that far out of reach, it’s bound to be good. Smirking to himself, he pulled his prize back down to eye-level and uncorked it.

Before it reached his lips, something rock-hard smashed against the back of his head, which in turn rammed the neck of the bottle into his jaw. Blinking the stars out of his eyes, he spun around furiously, ready to tear into whoever just bruised his skull.

“What the hell was that for, asshole!” he growled.

Sanji sneered at him from a couple feet away, one of his frying pans held at the ready.

“That’s one of my best bottles, marimo! I’m saving it for Nami-san’s birthday. It’ll be perfectly aged by then, and I don’t want you guzzling it like common booze!” he cocked his arm back and swung the pan at Zoro’s head again. Slightly more ready for it this time, he managed to dodge, only to lunge away and find his bottle missing.

“Oi – ” he started, but stopped when a stocky bottle of rum replaced it.

“There. That’s good enough swill for idiots like you. Now get out of my kitchen, asshole. Dinner’s in less than a half hour and I still need to finish Nami-swan’s and Robin-chwan’s desserts.” Switching into ‘Mellorine-mode’, Sanji swayed in place, little hearts flowing around him as he went.

Rubbing the bump on the back of his head, Zoro left the galley, muttering about ‘crazy shitty-cooks’ and ‘frou-frou sweets’ as he went.

He kept the bottle though.

Yeah, I remember it :) It was my drabble for the 'stars' theme on [community profile] onepieceyaoi100 XD

Okay:
1. What is your favorite pastime?
2. What is your favorite kind of food? (I love Italian :D)
3. Of everywhere in the world, where would you most like to live?
4. What's your favorite television show/channel?
5. What is your dream job?

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
1.when I still in my childhood times, playing along with all of my childhood friends. we're kinda have our own adventures by riding our bicycles, through the villages, woods and rice field, looking a already made up treasure with a hints in our hands. been really fun in that time. everyday after school, only play, play and play that we've been thinking about. rather different after I graduated elementary school, after that I kinda busy with lots of extracurricular lesson at home and in school.
2.both italian (pizza and spagheti) and japan (noodle, takoyaki and okonomiyaki) but I do love some of my country traditional foods too.
3.in a lighthouse near the sea. but the inside of it have to be comfortable to life. and I'll be decorated it with my own style. and I would like to life in it with someone that I love and love me back. but really, with my likely most not to settle down personality, I might end up as a traveler around the world, and didn't really have the place to stay...
4.mtv of course... and animax.lol... and news channel in my country.
5.to have my own rehabilitation school for trouble teenages. I've been discuss about this with some of my senior colleague. mostly they only seriously listened at first. and say their agreement. but after a while they didn't even remember about it. I guess they didn't take my plan seriously because I'm still young and didn't have much experienced than they did. but if my friends though, mostly kinda said to contact them if I'm already successfully build the school. so they can planted their share on it. but with my personality that always quickly bored into something, and shifted my attention to something new, I really doubt that this plan school project will comes up soon enough.

...over all, I'm a dreamer indeed...

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
...love your zoro userpic, by the way. If zoroxsanji really existed, and if I were sanji, that was the kind of expression I want to see the most at zoro's face...
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Very cool XD That lighthouse idea is so great. I think that because I grew up in a town on the ocean, I will forever love the water. I don't think I'll be able to live away from it anymore, because it's too much of who I am :)
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, he's my "XD" face :D It's one of my favorite Zoro expressions, though I've only seen in once or twice in the anime, and usually when booze is offered ;)

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
...hahaha...yeah, him and booze. if his sword is his eternal love, booze like his "misstress"...lol... but really, I love his face in your userpic. kinda childish... because he usually have a hard expression. it's really refreshing to see him in that kind of expression...

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
wow.near an ocean?.must be fun at the summer.you're so lucky!...so you must be good at swimming too then?...heee, kinda like sanji... I like that, man...if we ever meet, we really should go to your ocean, I would like to try to swimming in there, too...

[identity profile] visciousdango.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Well, my second random thought (cause the first and third were really bizzar) is "Hammer Space resides in Heero Yuy's pants", but that's pretty odd too. Therefore, a quote from Shakespeare's As You Like It:

"Stand you both forth now: stroke your chins, and swear by your beards that I am a knave.

By our beards(if we had them), thou art.

by my knavery (if I had it), then I were. But if you swear by that that is not, you are not forsworn."

Anyway, that should suffice for randomness.

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I live in a coastal town, so I'm like a minute's walk from the water :D

XD Well, it -is- the Atlantic Ocean, so it's fuckin' freezing most of the time :/ I keep forgetting that other people don't live so close to it, and I kinda take it for granted, though I love it :) Going to the beach for the day is much easier for me than it is for someone who lives further inland. Where for them it's an all-day trip, I can spend just as much time in the water and have it only take about half of my day XD

Yeah! If you were to come and visit, we'd definitely go swimming :) Unless, of course, it was winter >.< Waaaaaaay too cold to swim in the winter, unless you've got a death wish.
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
I know, he's so cute in that pic XD

Oh, just a tip for you. If you see an icon you like, you can just click on it and drag it over to your desktop, and it gets saved as a pic there. It's really easy, and you can collect all of the icons you want that way :D Unless someone prohibits anyone from taking icons they make, then it's fine :)

If you want an icon that moves, it's a little more complicated. I don't know how you would do it for a Windows computer, but if you have a Mac I can help you ;)
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, yeah, they're both sufficiently random XD

Okay, here we go:
1. What's your favorite anime? (so far, it probably changes the more you watch XD)
2. Do you have any pets? If so, how many, and what kind? o.O (I am an animal lover :D)
3. What is your dream job?
4. Are you currently in school? If so, what are you studying?
5. What is your favorite book (if you read a lot, movie if you don't)?

Have at 'em! :D

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
only a minutes walk from the water!.no need to ride anything to visit it?.YOU'RE SO LUCKY!.that was like to have your own beach!...in my city mostly summer.sometimes raining.then summer again, raining again...and especially in my city, the heat sometimes really can make you drowsy and dehydrate.and I can only depend on public swimming pool.which sometimes I'm toooooooooo lazy to drive over there because of the drowsiness...

[identity profile] mr-redrum.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
lol!.that luffy one is also funny!...

thanks for the lessons!. I'll try it! it's looks easy from the way you taught me. but I don't know, sometimes I'm just too stupid...sadly my laptop and computer both are using windows and not mac 1...sorry...

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-13 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Thats fine :) It just means that I can't help you with the moving icons. Good luck collecting sweetie! *hugs*
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-13 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, we have a seven mile long beach, and it's pretty awesome XD The only downsides are that it's pretty cold unless it's summertime, and during the summer we get soooooooo many tourists that the beach is clogged pretty much every day :/ It is pretty cool to live where I do, though :D

[identity profile] anna-q.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
I absolutely agree with your wish! Chocolate is just sinfully delicious that could not be ignored at all XD

From my fave song:

Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirits well.
Yet again you refuse to drink like a stubborn child.
Lie to me,
Convince me that I've been sick forever.
And all of this,
Will make sense when I get better.
but I know the difference,
Between myself and my reflection.
I just can't help but to wonder,
Which of us do you love?

Hee XD

(Anonymous) 2008-06-15 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
1. I'm tempted to say One Piece because I have fallen in love with the manga, but I think I'll be a stickler with terms for the moment. And so I say Seirei no Moribito even though I haven't yet seen it all.

2. Yes.^^ I have one gray female cat, I call Yukiko, two ball pythons, and about a dozen fresh water fish. I love animals too, and I think I want a dog someday.

3. You know, this is a question that I have had trouble answering since 3rd grade. I suppose I don't have anything specific in mind. Simply a job that is challenging enough to be interesting and enjoyable. Something I can do for, hopefully, the rest of my life. And a job that pays well enough that I can afford the free time for friends and hobbies.

4. Yes, sort of. I'm currently enrolled in computer science, but I'm only scheduled for one remedial math course for the first eight weeks.-_- Apparently I waited too long in scheduling for courses...I was waiting on financial aid...ah, well. I still have two other semesters to try to schedule. However, I think I'm going to be changing my major to Information Systems.^^

5. If I read alot. Hah. I sometimes think reading is my addiction. My favorite is a toss up between Mercedes Lackey's The Fire Rose and Alice Borchardt's The Silver Wolf. The latter of which got me into werewolves.:D

[identity profile] visciousdango.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack, sorry, that was me. Guess, my friend's computer doesn't log me in when I reply through email.

XD Yeah, I know what you mean. I've had my fair share of anon. posts in the past *shrugs* It happens :)
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Haven't heard of that one o.O Then again, I'm pretty much anime/manga illiterate, and have only really seen three or four all the way through :D

One Piece owns my soul XD And I am not the least bit upset about it ;)

2. I love cats <3 I have two at the moment, and I'll probably always have one in my life :D Ooh, what's a ball python? Is that like, a smaller version, or something?

Dogs are awesome, but I think it depends on what kind. You'll figure out which you prefer (long-haired/short-haired, small, large, reg. sized, etc.) pretty quickly, though. I love Golden Retrievers *happy sigh* I'm definitely getting one when I'm on my own. :)

3. Yeah, me neither :/ I don't really care what I do, as long as it's something I love, and I'm aiming for something in computers. I was in computer science, but I didn't do too well in my courses *shrugs* We'll see where I go next :D

It's hard to find the perfect job that is able to balance your needs with your wants >.> Sometimes the real world sucks.

4. Heh, me too XD Computer science at my college was different than I thought it'd be, but… meh.

Don't you hate waiting for that? It's so damn slow, too, and the school starts yelling at you to hurry up with it, even though theres nothing that you can do about it >.<

Very cool XD What is included in Information Systems?

5. Hey, it's a good addiction to have XD Nothing wrong with it, I think. I read excessively too :) I -love- Mercedes Lackey :D Her stories are so amazing, I always wonder where she gets the inspiration, you know? I just don't see how she comes up with all of the story-lines she does. I don't know if I could write even one novel, let alone as many as she has >.> I tend to get bored halfway in, and kinda drop it off. Which isn't good, but I can't really help it.

Ooh, I haven't heard of The Siver Wolf. I'll have to check that out XD

Haha, chocolate is a basic necessity for me XD

Ooh, *_* That's beautiful :)

Okay, questions!
1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
2. If you had the choice between sailing around the world or going into space, which would you choose?
3. What is your favorite anime/manga? (Could be a recent fave; I change it depending on what I'm most interested at the moment XD)
4. Do you read often? If so, what is your favorite book?
5. Do you like yaoi? How did you get into it? (:D Hee, curve ball =P)

Okay…
1. What is your current favorite anime/manga (or both :D)
2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
3. What is your favorite food? (Personally, Italian rules my soul … mmmmmm)
4. If you could choose between sailing around the world or going up into space, which would you choose?
5. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? (=P)

Yeah, I know what you mean. Usually the jet-lag does me in, and I take a few naps until I'm back on track, but sometimes that doesn't work >.<

Questions!
1. What is your favorite book (if you read a lot, movie if you don't)?
2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
3. What is your favorite pastime?
4. How did you get into yaoi?
5. Are you currently in school? If so, what are you studying? (If not, what do you do for work?)

Heh, kinda cheated on that last one; three questions in one! XD

[identity profile] genuinelie.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh!

1. What is your current favorite anime/manga (or both :D)

1. Becca and I are both going through FMA right now (yay netflix!), so I'd have to say that! I'm pretty obsessed! I don't think I could write fanfic for it, though.

2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?

2. I miss London, I miss Scotland - for at least six months I would want to go back and live in Moscow...New York City is somewhat high on my list, which surprises me - I do still find it a bit pretentious though - I want to visit Osaka, though I can't say I want to live there until I actually see it.

3. What is your favorite food? (Personally, Italian rules my soul … mmmmmm)

3. Potatoes, vegetarian eggrolls (but not spring rolls!), refried bean burritos with ortega sauce...there's this curried asparagus my mom makes that I /love/....malai kofta....

4. If you could choose between sailing around the world or going up into space, which would you choose?

4. Space, though both scare the heck out of me! I think vacuum would be a bit quicker than drowning though, so...

5. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? (=P)

Hehe. Teleportation. I am SO sick of driving everywhere!

[identity profile] cuethe-pulse.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Favorite book...ah, I used to be able to answer this question without hesitation, but right now I think there's a tie: The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle and the classic Lord of the Flies. Some other ones I really like are Sharon Creech's Walk Two Moons (I'm currently writing a screenplay based on it), the Narnia chronicles, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and the Rainbow trilogy (Rainbow Boys, Rainbow High, Rainbow Road) by Alex Sanchez. I could go on, but I'll spare you. :) (And though I do read a lot obviously, I'll also tell you that my favorite movie is Labyrinth, if only because David Bowie looks so delicious in it.)

2. Well, I plan on moving to Canada once I'm done with school. Better health care, less crime, gay rights...and I'm kinda just sick of the U.S. I love love love Italy, though, and I think living in Florence or Sorrento would be awesome.

3. Playing Sims 2. I'm totally addicted. It's like playing out my own One Piece soap opera. XD My computer crashed last winter and I almost cried over losing my babies. :( But I sucked it up and started over. My last Sanji Sim was a real whore, but this time he's more of a family man and I think I like that better, anyway. (Usopp's my whore this time. Mwahaha.)

4. GRAVITATION. I saw an ad for it in an anime magazine, checked it out, and fell madly in love. By that time I had already discovered my own sexuality, so I was thrilled to find a gay anime/manga. After that, I pursued others, like No Money and the more subtle Demon Diary. And then I just went about finding gay pairings in any and all fandoms--like my first love, Pokemon, and then One Piece. Now I'm hooked and it's almost all I write and read. ♥

5. I'm starting college in the fall and will be studying Psychology. I do have a semi-job at my church, teaching classes on Sunday, and I've been doing that for a couple of years. :)
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
1. FMA totally rocks XD It's kinda short, though, and I wish it were longer :/ *shrugs*

2. :D You're bouncing all over the place, huh? XD

3. And the list goes on and on… :) It's hard to list everything that you love.

4. Yick, thanks for the mental image >.< Suffocating in a space vacuum… *shudder*

5. :D Me too. That or being able to fly ;) Cars irritate me >.>
ext_49501: (Default)

[identity profile] kakairupowns.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
1. I'll definitely have to check some of those out :D The only books I've read in that list are Narnia and Harry Potter XD Loved them both, but my favorite has been the Belgariad by David Eddings for at least the past five years running ;) It's awesome, and if you're into fantasy, it's a must read :)

2. Italy is so awesome :D There are upsides to Canada, yeah, but I don't know *shrugs*

3. Haha I can totally picture that XD

4. Haven't seen/read those *ponders*
Pokemon was awesome, but now the newer ones… not so much :/ Hah, I know. One Piece owns my soul =P

5. Very cool XD I always fell asleep during the sermons at my church, and my Papa eventually stopped making us go. I'm not much of a religious person, I guess.

[identity profile] genuinelie.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
4. You'd probably freeze before you suffocate, but that's just speculation :-P

[identity profile] cuethe-pulse.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
You should definitely check out Gravitation. I recommend reading the manga rather than watching the anime. It's cute, but the manga is soooo much better and does a better job showing that they're both actually guys, not one guy and a guy-who-acts-like-a-chick.

Oh, I stopped watching Pokemon a long time ago. *le sigh* Still a huge Team Rocket fan, though. The one thing they managed to steal successfully was my heart. XD

I'm not very religious either. My church is Unitarian Universalist, where we welcome all different types of people with all different religious beliefs, so it's much different than any other church I've been to, and I love it for that. It focuses less on a God-type-figure and Heaven/Hell/what happens after death, and more on what we can do to make the world a good place while we're still alive. It's been a good place for me, so I like to help make it a good place for other kids, too. They're an awesome bunch. ^_^

Ah, Team Rocket… *shakes head* They're so cute and trying to be villainous, but always failing XD Well, there were a couple times where they were evil, but mostly they were kinda comic relief :D

I'll definitely check out Gravitation then! :) I need to get into more fandoms, because the shows I watch I'm pretty much all caught up on, and have to wait for new episodes each week >.<

That's really neat :) Church has always been boring for me, and I guess I turned out kinda… neutral, I suppose XD
